Hey all you 858 yahoos, owners, gurus, sages, messiahs (etc., etc.) out there!
I'm proud to say I've very recently joined your ranks and had the newest member of the family out at the range today!
Very pleased with the way this rifle shoots - seemed to be in the 3-4" range at 100 yds. with the irons. I'm sure it could probably do better, but that's all I would ever expect of it or ask of it for what I need it for. What a well put together, handy-dandy firearm.
Despite the good initial impression this rifle has left on me, I've been left with a little dilemma I've found hard to resolve. I've been through the manual several times and spent considerable time going through the stickies and forums here to no avail... I'm wondering if I'm missing something really obvious and will look stupid once I find out, but figure I've exhausted all the obvious avenues so here goes...
The aforementioned groups were fine, just hitting about 7-8" to the left at the 100yd. mark. The best I can figure for adjusting the windage is that the front sight pin needs to be moved to the left, but there is no mention of any sight adjusting anywhere in the manual. What I've found looking elsewhere is that there is a sight adjustment tool that is required to make this adjustment. But then try finding someone that carries one of these things?
So again, am I missing something obvious here? Is there some backyard, shady tree mechanic way of adjusting this sight or do I need to get one of these tools? Will an SKS tool fit? Anyone know where I might be able to find one?
Any and all advice is much appreciated. Thanks!
