Cz

Just bought my second 452 Varmint. I've yet to shoot it, but based on my first one...I'm expecting good things. No other CZ was a serious temptation for me.

I have four 22 cal 452s that are all wonderfully accurate for $500-$700 rifles (all are MOA or better at 50 m). From a personal experience, my vote would go to the 452 Silhouette that is a step ahead of my American, FS and the Scout.

What's the difference between a Silhouette and a standard 452 American ?

I believe the silhouette has a plastic stock for lighter weight. Not sure but maybe no irons on it as most silhouette shooters adjust their scope a lot while shooting different distances.

I have them all and based on owning and shooting a couple dozen CZ rimfire rifles, I believe that your best bet for accuracy is a Lux, followed by the Varmint and FS in a tie and then the American and Trainer... but in general they are all pretty accurate once you have found their preferred ammo.

I currently have a Scout, FS, Varmint and Silhouette. Had an American but got a brain fart and sold it.
All are 452 s
My most accurate is the Silhouette followed by the Scout.

I had two 452's, a Varmint and American(Australian) and while they were accurate, on any given day one would be the better but not the next.
Sold them both to finance a Remington 40XB Rimfire.
Have now purchase a 455 American and Varmint with the laminated Thumb hole stock.
Both are accurate but a lot of ammo testing shows they each have preferences.
About the time you find the preference you run out of that lot number and start over again.
A Minute of Gopher is acceptable accuracy and that is possible with both.

Have you found out what was the "best" amo for your 455 Laminated Thumb Hole (I ordered the fluted barrel)?

Thanks
