i have a cz452 varment and a savage bsev heavy fluted barrel. similar in cost but the cz is a better rifle.

I'm surprised this has not been stickied yet - seems to come up a couple times a week.

My take- didn't ever see a need to buy a Savage after handling several of them and several CZ's. Love my CZ's!

For that price a savage isn't worth $500. Its just a $250 gun in a $100 stock with a fancy name and hefty price. Buy the cz. Prairie gun traders has some 452 varmint's for $479. Hell of a gun for such little money. Had many savage mkII's and one 93. All sold as soon as I bought my first cz. I now have 3 cz's that will never be sold.
