CZ455 Barrels? Are they common?

I would like to know also.I have collection going on with 455 lr, A win mag barrel or a 17 hmr would make for an interesting addition.Any info would be appreciated.

455 lux,455 varmit 455fs and a great little scout 453. I quess an American and evolution could be next"LOL"

They are common enough that they can be ordered through CZ reps, but, there is a significant wait time. CZ mothereship has been overloaded with Euro defence contract work in the last year and a half which takes priority for them. I ordered a .17 HMR barrel last year in November and it didn't arrive until June. The worst part is the stringing along...being told that its coming in a few weeks at least a dozen times.

Lildja does make a nice barrel upgrade for the 455 out of stainless. Costs 3 times as much as a stock CZ barrel but they are excellent shooters, modified match chambers, bored and lapped out to be lest invasive on sizing the bullet. There are probably importers here in Canada for these.
 
When I talked to P&D Enterprises several weeks ago they had one. If I remember correctly it was $290, I'm not sure but I think it was .17 give them a call. It was for the varmit model. My new 455 varmit in .22 is a lazor.
 
I'm planning on getting a cz455 in 22lr/17hmr as my first gun once I get my PAL. Not good to hear how hard it is to get a barrel. Does anyone know if varmint and non varmint barrels can be switched into the same gun?
It would almost be worth it to spend $100 more to get the lildja barrel if the stock ones are really $290.
 
The varmint won't fit a regular stock,such as a lux or American.The varmint has a larger diameter and only fits varmint stocks.The interchange works on a lux stock between 22lr 22 win mag and 17hmr.The lux barrels have sights.American 455 have no sights and interchange same as lux stocks. Varmint calibers only work on varmint stocks.Your choice is a good one as you would only need a win mag add on.Hope this helps.

give Bashaw Sports a call...I bought a 17 hmr and a 22 lr for my 455 lux...$180 a piece...P&D are out to lunch. Bashaw had the 17HMR in stock and I waited two weeks for the 22 LR. Lilja barrels were $385 give WGP a call I heard they were going to put in an order.
 
A non supporting LGS in town had a 17hmr barrel waiting for me after i bought my 455. They also told me they have a 22WMR barrel sitting there if i want it. Just enjoying 17HMR too much though :D And i only paid 200 for 17HMR Lux barrel. They said same price for the 22WMR

That's right, mine was a little over 500. 290 for factory? I had my like new 17 hmr varmint barrel on the EE for a week or so for around 100 and no one bit. Glad I took it off, I'm having a lot of fun with it. The lilja has just been gathering dust for now.

Depends where you have to go, if a range is all you have access to and it's a bit of a drive then ya I could see it being a pain, for me I can just head out to a spot in a pasture I shoot that takes about 5 min. I don't mind sighting in.

True, I have to drive an hour to get to the range or 1.5 hours to get to crown land.
