Hi all,
First: Not all of us Quebecers are separatists. Two referendums showed it in the past!
Today is Canada day and it's a little by coincidence that I picked today (the perfect day) to buy a Canadian Edition CZ 455 22 lr.
However, since I was born in 1967...and turning 50 in September...this little rifle is the perfect gift from me to me!

It will replace a nice Winchester model 69 bolt action that will be passed down to my second son in 2 years.

I think the CZ is a perfect replacement even if I was looking for a rifle with iron sights.

When I receive it, I'll be looking for rings to fit the scope I have for it: Bausch/Lomb Elite 4000 1.5-6 x 36mm

Any suggestions?

Eric

I like Burris Signature Zee Rings. The inserts protect your valuable scope from damage.
I recently bought Two sets from site sponsor Jerry at Mystic Precision.

I also purchased a DIP Rail to mount Weaver style rings to my CZ452 Varmint. It is held on with set screws.
If you go this route, It's a great idea to put a #6 or #7 lead shot in each of the holes before you tighten the set screws.
This will protect your rifle's receiver from damage, as the lead is much softer than the screw.
I do not know if this is the direction you want to go, but it worked nicely for me.

I love my CZ. Extra money is the only thing keeping me from having more of them. Their quality is addictive.
Enjoy your beautiful new rifle.

If the Burris Rings are not your cup of tea then 11mm Leupold will be your next best choice.
A Leupold in a 2-7 or go to a 3-9 if your feeling the love go for more magnification, but it all depends on your target choice.

Congrats on your new Canadian! I have three - .22, .17 hmr, .22 mag. Wickedly accurate .17 and .22. Haven't shot the mag enough yet.

I'm not going for too much magnification since it will be replacing a hunting rifle. My good old Elite 4000 1.5-6 x 36 should be fine.
Looks like the Burris rings are popular, so I'll consider them as a possible buy.

Many thanks!
