So the long and short, is that after functioning properly at the range I brought the rifle home and gave it a Pre-gopher season cleaning, Barrel, Bolt tear-down, the whole 9 yards. Function check passed after re-assembly, no issues noticed.

The next day I take it to the range and after the third or forth round the bolt came right out the back of the rifle. Didn't have to pull the trigger back as usual to remove it. So i removed the magazine, and tried cycling the bolt a couple more times, it didn't pull out on the first pull, but did on the second. Put the bolt back in (still need to depress the trigger to get the bolt in btw) and repeat, third cycle and the bolt pulls out.

Well, sear safety check time! Make sure the rifle is empty, #### the bolt, and give the stock a good whack with my palm a few times.. bolt releases.. it didn't do this after installation of the trigger kit previously, with a vigorous beating from a rubber mallet.

This leads me to believe that the shim (i'm going to call it that) somehow got fatter, or my sear has gotten smaller. Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there something else I should look at before I take some fine sandpaper to the shim I installed from the trigger kit?

I've experienced the same but did not assume it was the Yodave kit. Will take a closer look this weekend.

I'll have to see if I can find the baggie, if I can't I'm taking 1000grit sand paper to the existing one. We'll see what the rifle tells me when I take it apart, it's just odd that this wasn't an issue until I cleaned it.

you put the kit in a new rifle and it is wearing in..........this can cause the issue you describe and why I always say run a brick through the rifle before you tinker with it.......if ammo wasn't so scarce of course.....

if you can't find your shims just PM me........I might have a couple laying around somewhere

Found my baggie, someone threw it into the bottom of my tool box.

I tried to swap the shim to another one, and maybe it's the cold medicine but I'm completely flummoxed atm.

I had the blue shim installed, measured it, OD = .157 ID=.136. Decide to try the black shim OD=.157 ID=.127. Seemed aggressive, but wanted to make sure that the sear would catch and stick. No dice.. Bolt release on closure 100% of the time. So I measured the other shims and the OD is the same on them all, but the ID's are all smaller than my blue shim. What am I missing? I think I'm gonna go soak the whole thing in G96, or shooters choice, doesn't look dirty though...
