So the long and short, is that after functioning properly at the range I brought the rifle home and gave it a Pre-gopher season cleaning, Barrel, Bolt tear-down, the whole 9 yards. Function check passed after re-assembly, no issues noticed.
The next day I take it to the range and after the third or forth round the bolt came right out the back of the rifle. Didn't have to pull the trigger back as usual to remove it. So i removed the magazine, and tried cycling the bolt a couple more times, it didn't pull out on the first pull, but did on the second. Put the bolt back in (still need to depress the trigger to get the bolt in btw) and repeat, third cycle and the bolt pulls out.
Well, sear safety check time! Make sure the rifle is empty, #### the bolt, and give the stock a good whack with my palm a few times.. bolt releases.. it didn't do this after installation of the trigger kit previously, with a vigorous beating from a rubber mallet.
This leads me to believe that the shim (i'm going to call it that) somehow got fatter, or my sear has gotten smaller. Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there something else I should look at before I take some fine sandpaper to the shim I installed from the trigger kit?
