Right, so a cursory search didn't turn up any info on this. As far as I can tell CZ52s are not prohibited, and I have found reference to Canadians owning them, so...
Is it still possible to buy these? Where? Searching around on the various contributing dealers at the top of the page I cannot find any evidence that any are for sale? Did the supply dry up? Any info on this would be awesome, I would quite like to get one of these when I get my RPAL this summer.
And as a side note, in before the 'just get a tokarev they're better' posters. I am planning on getting a TT33, but I'd also like to own a CZ52.

You are correct.. the CZ52 pistol is not Prohib.. it is Restricted only. just not a lot of them around. Most are chambered in 7.62 x 25 but i have seen a few that have 9 mm barrels..
Just keep looking.. you will eventually find one.. they typically run for about $350 to $450...

They are a great pistol .. i have shot one and would love to own one as well....

I have a CZ-52, got it instead of the Tokarev because of the bigger and longer grip, feels 10x more comfortable in my hands. Muzzle flash on this is crazy :p Kinda hard to find pistol. I might sell it to finance a GP100, but if I do it, will be a tough decision to take. Mine is a 1953, came with the original leather holster, 2 mags, cleaning rod and extra firing pin.

Mine's a 54 from century int'l days. No importer roll stamp. Some kind of faint yellowpaint mark on the slide, just above the slide stop pivot point/rivet. Both mag base plates of the stamped steel variety, with one mag being unused.

I have one, and for whatever reason it's on my "obnoxious pistol" list. I hang on to it for the collection but only take it out if some one else wants to try it. Everyone who shoots it side by side with a T 33 would rather shoot the Tokerov. Each to their own. If you grip high on the frame, your strong hand thumb works the saftey on, and as stated, for whatever reason, wow, what a muzzle flash :) that much is fun. Trigger reset slaps your finger like the AK's used to when we could shoot them. I file them under "neat idea poorly executed"
 
There is no slide release lever and the firing pins are cast junk beyond that it was ok. It did have an interesting muzzle blast with the Czech surplus 7.62X25
