I had a stainless Ruger compact 223 that was amazingly accurate but it was ridiculously loud. The first time I took it out for coyotes I thought my head would explode. It was like shooting a braked rifle without hearing protection. Crazy the difference between a 16.5" and 20" barrel.
Yeah, I was just hoping to buy something this time instead of build.
I had a CZ carbine in 7.62x39 for awhile, it was a very nice little rifle. My two complaints were the high scope mounting, and the backwards safety. I haven't seen a howa mini in the flesh but the little research I've done seems guys aren't too fond of the bottoms metal/plastic.
Anyone had any experience with the Sabatti Rover 600 in 7.62x39?
Im sure the howas work fine and all, but dayum they look like the fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. The CZ is a really nice looking rifle!
I think a clean hinged floorplate would help the howa in the looks department. I'm a detachable mag fan, but only when it's done nice and clean like sako does them.
Sako does make a very nice detachable mag system. I wish they'd make a mini action about the size of a CZ!
