Cz527 carbine vs howa mini

Not surprisingly, I would rather have a Ruger compact or even a scout in .223 (which I have).....

What I will say, is that both howa and cz are rock solid actions...... if the rifles fit you, you can't go wrong either way.....

I had a stainless Ruger compact 223 that was amazingly accurate but it was ridiculously loud. The first time I took it out for coyotes I thought my head would explode. It was like shooting a braked rifle without hearing protection. Crazy the difference between a 16.5" and 20" barrel.

Lol... had my scout out for beaver a couple of weekends ago... I concur.... and my compact in .243 is loud as well.....

Truth is, if you want a short barrelled rifle, it's going to be loud....... no way around that, and it's not manufacturer dependant.....

Yeah, I was just hoping to buy something this time instead of build.

I had a CZ carbine in 7.62x39 for awhile, it was a very nice little rifle. My two complaints were the high scope mounting, and the backwards safety. I haven't seen a howa mini in the flesh but the little research I've done seems guys aren't too fond of the bottoms metal/plastic.

If you are ok with the tikka plastic and mag, you will not have any issue with the Howa dbm. It is about 100x better than the plastic aics mags I was using.

I had a CZ 527 in 7.62x39. Very accurate rifle especially with Hornady 123gr SST's. Going to throw another one in the mix. Anyone had any experience with the Sabatti Rover 600 in 7.62x39?

Im sure the howas work fine and all, but dayum they look like the fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. The CZ is a really nice looking rifle!

I think a clean hinged floorplate would help the howa in the looks department. I'm a detachable mag fan, but only when it's done nice and clean like sako does them.

Sako does make a very nice detachable mag system. I wish they'd make a mini action about the size of a CZ!

It's dinky. I've had a handful of the 75's in the 223 length but like a fool sold them off. Now when a guy wants one, he can't find one.

This thread has got me fired up for another 527, like a Tom responding to calls of a Hen in the Spring!

I already have a 527 Carbine in 223, but trying to desperately calm my self down and wait for the 6.5 Grendels to make their way to Canada.
