I want a rifle that will reach out to say about 400 yards for coyote hunting. I currently own a CZ527 in .22 Hornet and I'm very happy with it but it won't do the trick at that range. I've decided on the 6.5 Swede for too many reasons to list. The problem is the gun. I'm a CZ fan but the cost of the 550 is the same as the Tikka Varmint and the Lite comes in around $300.00 less then both. So for what I'm doing should I spend the extra money? Thoughts.

Well - You should decide if you want the extra weight of the varmint rifle - most coyote hunters would not... I use the 6.5 X 55 for coyote hunting, in a Tikka 695. I use this one over several other 6.5's I own, as this is the only one with a detachable mag - very important when it gets cold out and your fingers are numb.
