CZ557 Ranger rifle?

Any Chance of getting CZ to do a production run of the (rejected?) CZ555 .308 Canadian Ranger rifle prototype
(with the crest if possible) that RevenVrake scored (See thread in Main Battle Rifle forum)?

In a .308, I wouldn't want a barrel any shorter than 18.5 and one of 22 would be nicer.

I'd take two of these. One for me and one for my son-in-law who was in the Canadian reserves and did a tour in Af-stan. I gave him an enfield .303 in its working cloths that he was thrilled with. I think the CZ would be a better hunting rifle.

That's not a CZ 557.

I'm led to believe that it was 1 out of ten rifles made/submitted by CZ to the CF as part of an RFP to
replace the aging Enfields used by the Canadian Rangers. The competition was cancelled,
and the theory is this rifle (and maybe a few others?) were sold off in-country.
If you could shed any light on its provenance, I'd be interested in hearing it.
