Well I just bought a CZ75B in .40s&w and will probably Shoot VERY mild load, under/low minor probably.

What is the best combo Recoil/Mainspring to get?

I guess from Angus website that a 11lbs Recoil/15lbs Mainspring would be best?

I had a big surprise when I did a field strip... a 3wire recoil spring... only saw 1 wire until now.

What's wrong with the one that came with the gun? Is it working properly?
I don't under stand the need to fix some thing thats not broken.

I don't mean to sound sharp or anything,I have a CZ-75B in 40S&W too,but I've only put about 300rds though it (factory ammo ) with no trouble. So ,just out of curiousity ,what trouble have you been having?

I haven't shoot the gun yet but I'll probably shoot very soft lead reload and CZ spring are pretty stiff and I fear the reload won't cycle the slide.

The 15lbs mainspring is supposed to help trigger pull.

My 15 lb main spring has some hiccups with CCI primers. There is a 16 lb option that Angus sells.

If you are shooting that light of a load the 11 recoil and 15 main is the way to go.

It seems there is a problem with this thread... I've got a few PM telling me they can't post here...

I am not being malicious when I say this but if you do not like the recoil of a 40 S&W why not sell it and buy a CZ75B in 9mm? You will experience the lower recoil you apparently like and the cost of 9mm ammo is less. If this is not the case, I would see what Wolff Springs has to offer. Regards, Richard :D

Well I never tryed .40 yet.. I have shoot both Combat Master 9mm in a HK P7M8 and Hot .45acp in a Para and Liked the .45 recoil more than the snap of the 9mm. So I guess a 800-900fps .40 should be tame and more like the .45 . I'll wait to see the result of my loads but I guess a lighter recoil spring will be needed as the stock is around 16lbs.

Check out Gunsnthings, I know they've got lighter recoil springs and I swap out regularly between light target 9 and factory loads all the time. Not much of a problem cycling the lighter loads even with the stock springs though.
