CZ75 Kadet vs. SIG P229 Classic .22

If you were specifically considering a factory rimfire conversion pistol costing between $600-800, which would you rather buy: CZ75 Kadet or SIG P229 Classic .22?
 
I know the Sig P229 Classic doesnt lock back the slide after last round, which i think sux... I got some upgrade follower to "block" the slide after last round, but it's still not the "normal" function of the pistol.... what about the kadet?

Maybe Sig considers the .22 to be more of a combat trainer than a target pistol. A working slide stop would be nice, but it isn't everything either. (Tap rack bang, anybody?) I consider the conventional slide design of the Sig to be preferable to the unconventional design of the CZ.
 
But the Kadet design is not a full slide so your operation is slightly different.
It's kinda but not exactly like the Buckmark.

Mine is oh, so sweet. I can't imagine owning a CZ-75/85 without a Kadet Kit. And this is after paying a stupidly high $600.00 + tax for my kit.

BTW, Mine chambers reliably without any smithing, no stove pipes and locks back every time after the last shot has been fired.
 
The SIG conversions are a POS compared to the CZ.
I've had the Kadet conversion since owning my first handgun (85 Combat), and it's run like a clock, with accuracy equal to, if not better than, a lot of dedicated .22's.
The SIG conversion that I received with my SIG 220 SAO,( which I love by the way), has been nothing but a PITA to get up and running.
Just my $0.02.......

My kadet is now at 600 rounds, no failures at all, accurate and slide stays back, same mags as my 75B, just with an insert, my only complaint is that it is slightly larger near the muzzle and I need to adjust my holster every time to accomadate it when I practice.
 
I will sing with the chorus and say my choice would be a CZ75B and the Kadet Conversion kit. Why? I have owned one for years and it is one of the three 22s I will keep to my grave. Yes, it is that good. The other two 22 handguns I adore are the Ruger Standard and S&W M43.
 
Kadet is great

I shoot more .22 thru my Kadet conversion (on a shadow) than 9mm and love the Kadet kit. Paid $460 for it 18 months ago from proline in calgary.
A few jams when using lower powered cheap ammo. great sights.
I had to do a little fitting to get it to fit just right...easy...little by little until perfect.
I don't have any experience with the sig.
 
What's the Sig slide made out of? I know some .22LR pistols out there with working slides don't lock back because the slide is made of aluminium and would peen too badly against a steel slide stop over time.
