So, I recently acquired a pre-b CZ75 in rough shape, misassembled, and missing parts. It was obviously missing the safety but didn't know past that because the gun was jammed shut. After a few hours work and research of the parts diagram it seems that I'm not missing much, but not having much luck finding a safety. Anyone ever tracked down parts for these guns? Any suppliers you know of?

Contact these guys and see what they have to offer that would work.

Anyone have luck getting to ship to Canada? They told me that they would not when inquired about a barrel.

No issues with strings, pins and a trigger for may 85C last year. Also Mags, but that was 5+ years ago.

Frame and barrel will require an export permit but smaller parts, No. Make sure you order every part you need for I saw some older posts from other canucks that the shipping cost is on the high side. But if you do not have any other option, you will have to take it.

Already talked to them, they could retrofit a newer safety but they need the gun to do so, and it is $$$.

As an update, I managed to get the safety out of an EAA Witness, it works but because the detent system being a bit different it's not very positive. However, I think the gun is at least in firing condition! To find out next time I get to the range.

Did you ever try London Arms?

I've gotten some obscure Brno parts from 60's era rifles from them in the past couple years.

Do you have any contact info for them? I never got a response from them but dunno if my contact info was good.

Owner is Dave.

It's just like turning the calendar back 30 years. They deal on the phone, friendly and helpful, and ship COD only. Hopefully they can help you.

Do you have a local smith you trust to do good work on handguns? Shipping a gun from Canada down to the US and back again for service work would be rather impratical and involve a small hill worth of paper I'm sure. But perhaps CZ Custom would sent the parts and then you could have a local smith fit them? Or since you already have the Tanfoglio safety perhaps some small work could be done to make the detent more positive?
