CZ75 SP01 Shadow/Shadowline Factory Test Shots....

So what are you trying to get at ! Your target handguns are just that target handguns you cannot compare!

please read post #34

I in no way expect it to shoot .3 inch groups but I expected better then 3+ inch groups at 25. I just heard so many people rant about just how accurate the shadow is that i was surprised at some of the targets are

I only posted the pictures so show that i'm not just a guy who thinks the 1911 is the end all and be all of firearms like swissinn suggested and that I do know what accuracy is. Not because i expect a 800 dollar gun to shoot on par with a 3k+ target pistol

Don't worry I understood you. All is good.

to the person whining about the test shots of the Shadows being more than he expected, you realized these are a part of QCI right? They are done quickly and by people who aren't necessarily shooters of any great skill level. having stood and watched the process and then done it myself (with one of their subguns), not a lot of time is given to try and get bullseye level shooting out of them. Does it meet their minimum specs? yes, done, move to the next one.

Amen. OP its a great Tactical\IPSC Production pistol. As far as out of the box accuracy for a $780 pistol, its pretty well unbeatable IMHO. I put some Cajun Gun Works springs in the trigger and recoil assembly. Also had a stainless guide rod machined by a machine shop. Works great.

My CZ75 SPO1 Shadowline

As for not adjusting the sights from factory, well that's just silly to say the least. When I got my SP-01 Shadow you could look at the top of the slide and see the grooves near the rear sight and easily tell that the rear sight was no where near centre. Even the test shots showed the gun was shooting way right. I put the rear sight to centre and then it was bang on.

Anyone want to bet that those $3000+ target pistols are Ransom rested?

It's obvious that the CZ test targets are not. Looks more like quality control. Yep it fires and functions, close enough, next.

New to me (thanks olbar!) SP-01 shadowline. Only shot it once so far, but definitely shoots better than I can shoot it. It has no firing pin block and a different hammer, that is similar to the competition hammer on the orange and canadian editions. It is wider, and does not "cam back" when the trigger is pulled, resulting in a very crisp short pull. VERY good. Miles ahead of my CZ 85 combat (which also has no firing pin block)

It would be nice if guys could post groups of their factory targets as well as their own. For comparisons sake. Next time I go to the range, I'll post my 25 yard target alongside the factory target. Maybe just to make it interesting post two targets, one with a rest and one without.

they are ransom rested.

what's the point of an accuracy test that does not measure the intrinsic accuracy of the pistol? .......it goes bang? If I did not trust the gun went bang I would not buy one. if you need a paper to prove it goes bang from a company then how can you trust the paper either?

And before you go hating on me I bought an sp 01 shadow 4 days ago and am looking forward to shooting it. I have nothing against cz and have wanted one for a long time.

I did do some Ransom tests on an old CZ75 back in the 90's if I can find those targets.
As i recall it liked the 115 and 124 grs bullets best. The 147grs opened up quite a bit.

I also have a Shadow coming in today and will see just how accurate it is compared to the old CZ or my Norc 1911 9mm once I retrieve my old Ransom rest back.

Can anyone post some real targets results vs there factory image test?
I find they do shot tight groups and I'm a novice shooter.

CZ 75 SP-01 Shadowmate (bought 3 weeks ago). 30 rounds of S&B 124gr FMJ @ 12 yards, .35 second splits. Have taken more time, pretty sure all 30 rounds would have destroyed the 2" bulleye. I will shoot it @ 25 yards in a more serious challenge on my next range trip.
