LOL at sask farmboy. Lemme guess...you have a 1911 45 ACP that shoots groups that size at 100m?

Are you kidding?

Thats at 25 meters! My group is a 1 inch group. At 25 yards thats pretty damn impressive, these groups are not fired from a rest they're fired from a pair of human hands, thats why they list the shooter's personal number.

your group is the best and it is 38.4 mm, so its 1.5 inch . , the first pic looks like a 3 inch group at best with no consistancy, mallards is 48 mm so two inches with the orange shadow at double the money. anchormans is about a 2 inch group danv's is all over the place, i have seen shotguns shoot tighter groups.

No but i do shoot a Walther gsp for the provincial handgun team and have a gold medal and silver from nationals for center fire pistol and standard pistol as well as an overall provincial team gold, they give those to the top three shooters from the top provincial team in the country. my standards are MUCH higher then the average person.

here is an pic of the test targets that came with my gsp, top one is a 32 cal, bottom is 22. shot from 25 meters.

those targets have a center to center of about .3 inches

oh and p.s my colt gold cup trophy in 45 acp can shoot as good as any of those cz's if you want to laugh at 1911's

I will have to post my Shadows target. It is crappy. But in reality gets much better groups than what the paper says. Besides each gun will have favorite loads that it likes. Test target just proves it functions for the buyer.
Saskfarmboy, these two pistols are not designed for the same thing. Apples to oranges.

I highly doubt the CZ employee strives for the utmost accuracy.

Probably picks up gun, places on rest, fires 5x fairly quick then moves on to the next pistol.

Comparing these factory papers to a dedicated target pistol is just silly..

Dont get me wrong. I am not slagging the shadow, I want a SAO long slide shadow

I understand they are not designed for the same thing, my response is ment to be relative to price. of course I don't expect .3 inch groups out of a shadow .

What I ment by not as accurate as I thought is that I did not think any would be as bad as 3+inches at 25. even for the longer shots in IDPA that is the difference between a down 1 and a down 3 ,

I would be totally happy with a shadow that shot 1.5 inch groups. I just thought most would be able to achieve that level of accuracy

or for action shooting that means hitting a non threat partially obscuring the front of a threat target. aka shot the hostage

I think we would need some better Shadow shooters than myself to post a best 25m group challenge. Problem is most owners are going for speed.

funny part is that a pistol engagement usually occurs within 5 meters. I'd say a good 90% of them anyways. I thought IDPA was supposed to be realistic? Why would they have targets at 25m?

Most idpa is close range but it is encouraged to add some long range shots to some of the stages.

So what are you trying to get at ! Your target handguns are just that target handguns you cannot compare!

Congrats are your accomplishments that's excellent shooting no doubt!

Swissin is no slouch either his personal score in the handgun portion at CISC this year put him ahead of everyone! With a borrowed Glock 22 not bad considering the competition;-) He does ok with a rifle as well lol!

Well if i hit a 8 by 11 at 25 yards 10 out of 10 shots i consider my gun and myself capable

Well you wouldn't necessarily be considered that in a competition with that kind of accuracy. In the real world, that's no big deal I agree. Holding a full mag on an 8.5" X11 at 25M isn't really much of a feat of accuracy all things considered.
