I was interested in the SP01 non-Shadow, manual safety version with night sights. These seem to be hard to come by right now, as the Shadow version can be had for not much more money plus improvements such as trigger pull, lack of FPB, Qsights, extra mag.
I much prefer the 3-dot system of the standard's night sights over the comp sight style of the Shadow.

Does anyone know if the tru glo night sights can be ordered and installed on the sp01 Shadow without any major gunsmithing? Thanks

Sorry squidxm, can't answer your question...just surprised your not a fan of shadow sight set up...I have various sights on different pistols, and I find the fo front and black rear the fastest sight picture by far? Enjoy the pstol, and hope hound what you're looking for..

Brownells is easy to order from. The rear sight slides off once you undo the set screw. The front sight needs to be drilled usually, don't just glue it as it also holds in the barrel bushing with the pin. You need a drill press and drill it from the left side to walk the sight in, instead of out of the recess.

I've got a set of CZ factory SP-01 night sights if you're interested! I swapped the sights on my SP-01 for the Shadow-style sights.

You don't need a drill press, but if you're unsure about your hands, it can help. You may have to do some light filing (I used a nail file once and it was enough LOL) to get the rear sight to go in (file the sight, not the dovetail). Use a nylon or brass punch when drifting the sights to prevent denting/marring them.

Saw a cool tip awhile back (can't remember who posted it). Before you put the rear sight in, take a punch and make a small dent in the bottom of the dovetail where the set screw would get tightened down. This gives you a bit more bite with the screw. Should help the rear sight from drifting out if the set screw loosesn up slightly.
