CZ75 Tactical Sport Orange (2019 model) - mini-review

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Not sure if the factory barrel is hard chromed or just polished. Wolverine was the only guys who had the barrel in stock so I ended up paying a bit of a premium but free shipping took some sting out.

If you are getting the Lok Grip palm swell version, be sure to go to the Lok Grip website, and order the Shadow 2 version that's shortened for magwell. I made the mistake of ordering the CZ75 version, the contour of that is made for the frame with a lower grip and the top of the grips gets in the way, for me anyway. So I had to sand it down to fit me. The Shadow 2 version already has the modified contour to suit the higher grip, which would have been a better fit.

I have one of the early TS Oranges in 40. All I had to do was blend the magwell and open the inside of the bottom of the magwell as mags would drag on the inside of the frame. You shouldnt have to do that with any factory gun especially one like this. Other than that Mine has bee 100% perfect. Amazing gun at any price. Well worth the price tag. Even the standard TS is well worth it.

Having had the original TS, I can say the TSO is a HUGE upgrade. Given the price difference, I would say that the original TS is NOT worth it, for me that is.

On the TS The grip is lower, blockie-er; checkering was useless, safety was sharp, no gas pedal, lousy sites, super thick wooden grips, less weight at the muzzle, plastic magwell is not very durable at all. The amount of gunsmithing it would take to bring the TS to the level of TSO would be much more than the price difference between the two guns these days.

I would say to anyone who is even considering the TS, DON'T do it (not for $1500)! You WILL regret not buying the TSO later. Now if the TS was to drop to say... $700-800 that could potentially change my recommendation.

You know me... can't leave good alone. I had a few thou of play with my barrel and bushing when locked up. Not to leave well alone, I've upgraded the bushing on my TSO...

Factory bushing ID was 0.56"

Barrel OD diameter at 0.5475"

Makes for zero play, solid lockup and no hitches when cycling the slide by hand. We'll see how she runs at the range. Now I don't have an excuse for slopping shooting. :p

Finally made it out to the range today with a buddy. I'm really liking the new bushing. The fitted 9mm barrel performed awesome. No problems with feeding or ejection. I didn't have a 10# or 8# recoil spring but my 147gr Minor PF ammo cycled without and hiccups. I felt like I was shooting a 22LR. lol

Where is the bushing from, who makes it, and what is it called? I've been thinking of doing this, guys on BEnos are talking about it.

CGW has one for $60US.

I just took some measurements on my old CZ TS 9mm, which was one of the first into the country (maybe second batch). The barrel is 0.550" everywhere up front I measure. The bushing is harder to measure and I don't have good tools, and also varies by depth and orientation/clock (I'm seeing hand tool or wear marks). But mostly I was measuring 0.558" side to side and 0.560" top to bottom. So less clearance than your original measurements, but there is a little slop if I really feel for it.

The OD of the 9mm barrel is the same as the 40sw.

Unfortunately I don't have precise enough gauges to give accurate measurements.

The factory bushing is thinner on one part of the inner facing side of the bushing to allow clearance for removal/insertion of the barrel.
