CZ75B copy is ejecting barrel bushing?

I have a NZ85B, the Norinco copy or the CZ85B.

Both the front sight and the barrel bushing are held in with a roll pin.

Now the first time I had the pistol out, it appears it stripped the factory roll pin and the barrel bushing fell out. I had a new roll pin put in, after one magazine it's beating this roll pin up and pushing it out.

Any idea what's causing this? From what I can see it shouldn't even put pressure on the bushing unless the barrel is expanding that much under firing.

Potentially looking into warranty for this but if it's a simple fix I could just go that way.

On a related note.. would a CZ slide fit on my NZ frame?

The barrel hits the bushing with the front of its first lug. The slide should hit the frame before that.

A CZ slide should fit. I had to work a bit on the ejector block to get a Tanfoglio one to work on an NP-40, with its own barrel. The two barrels are very similar but Tanfoglio parted with the bushing and, guess what, their barrel bumps into the NP's bushing and prevents the gun from cycling.

If the barrel is hitting the bushing before stopping in the frame, what's the fix? Shorten the bushing slightly?

I'm not a gunsmith and don't even know what it looks like out of its frame, but that would come to my mind :).

Can you see impact marks on the bushing? Was that new pin tight in its hole?

Not knowing what's out of specs, frame/slide/barrel/bushing, I would have a look at a normal gun and compare. Or if that is the problem, can you figure out how far it is to work properly by not having that pin in?

Is it still under warranty?

I'll pull it all apart and see what I can find out when I'm home from work. The new pin was really tight until a mag was shot downrange.

Might be able to pop the pin out and see how far it pushes.

I was originally told it should be covered by warranty but waiting to hear back.

Are you flaring the ends of the roll pin? I had a bushing come out on me after several thousand rounds. New pin and I have been trouble free since.

The first one stripped a semi circle right out of it, left the remainder of the pin in, and the bushing came out. Second one wasn't flared but it's taken a hell of a beating in 10 rounds.

More than it should...

Okay pulled it apart quick. Pulled the roll pin out and cycled it by hand and couldn't pop the bushing out.

Made a mark and it looks like the barrel stops about 1/8th of an inch before it would hit.

Don't see any marks where it has specifically hit anything.

Barrel lugs look like they ripped some material from somewhere?

Back and inside of the barrel bushing. Not sure if it's just Norinco quality or part of the issue.

Between the barrel and guide rod, again not sure if it's just Norinco quality or part of the issue.

What is the dark band on the first (muzzle side) bbl lug?

Looks out of place? Some sort of mfg defect maybe?
