What are the typical modifications that you can do to a CZ75B and stay legal for Production divisions?

Same as the Glock thread going just with a CZ's please.

Also could I buy a CZ85 and replace that rear sight and be legal for IDPA?

Should be similar to the Glocks list.

Grip tape ok on lower frame.
Trigger Job (send it to Gunnar, he will work his magic)
Sights (No FO sites but anything that is similar and doesnt require modifications to install will be OK) Try the ones from ghostholster.com, Angus is a good guy.

you cannot have adjustable sights on the 75, you cannot have extended (anything) on the 75. If you want that, you'll need to get the 85Combat (not just an 85, you'll need to get the 85combat itself). the 75 is a stock gun, that's all, doesn't come with any factory options for anything other than what it is shipped with. The 85combat has an extended mag release, and the adjustable sights, with a trigger overtravel screw...

His name is Gunnar Christensen and he runs Armco Guns in Prince George, BC. His website is www.armco-guns.com.

He is a master class shooter that used to shoot a CZ75 in IPSC but I believe he changed guns over the summer. I dont know of another gunsmith that who is as good at tuning CZs but I believe there is a gentleman out east thats pretty decent too.

CZ has offered FO - fiber optic front sights since last summer - according to the master of the production list, Vince Pinto - they are OK.

I like mine.

Angus at ghostholster can get them for you too.

I seem to recall that they were not able to address the FO sights question at the GA and Vince had shelved it until later, I would have to dig up the discussions in the IPSC forum later. Also, there seemed to be some discussions/concerns about the parts being offered by Angus from CZ USA as not being proper OEM parts since CZ USA was being considered an importer..... I dont recall the end result of that discussion either and will again have to dig up some info from the IPSC forums.

I was at the GA. I spoke multiple times at the GA, I watched the assembly waffle on production in general. Fo was not addressed at all. Thier only concensus was "no mag wells". The rest was left up to the production committee, of which Vince was the head.

Later at the match, I picked up the sight from Milan and Angus, walked over to Vince and said "Is this OK for my CZ75B?" and he replied. "Yes it is." I then walked back and gave Milan (who works for CZ, not Angus) the money. If it ain't legal, Vince owes me some money. Until I hear him tell me otherwise, it's legal.
