Took a month for my order to come in but my CZ75B Stainless New Edition finally arrived. I was very impressed with the workmanship. Bead blasted finish contrasting with a lightly polished stainless. The wooden grips are a very nice red stain and I actually think I'll keep it this way. I generally like Hogue grips, but this fits the hand so well I'll stick with the wood.

Sights are very sharp without too much gap when lining up rear and front. Pistol came with Trijicon night sights (I believe their Meprolight made for CZ) which have the CZ symbol on them. Give a great sight picture and glow nice and bright at night.

Trigger is not as nice as my CZ Shadow but this was to be expected as the CZ75B model has a firing pin block. That said it feels very good for a combat pistol. There is definitively some creep felt when very slowly squeezing the trigger (This is already smoothing out as I have done dry firing with snap caps to smooth this out). During faster combat drills it is not noticed. I will drop in a 13 lbs hammer spring which will lighten double action and help a bit with single action as well.

Took it out and put it through its paces for the first time July 1st. Only had time to put 20 rounds through it as I was range officer and helping out before taking off for work in afternoon. On the 1st, I found it shooting about 3 -4 inches high with 9mm American Eagle FMJ 147 grain bullets at 25 meters. I believe 124 grain may shoot closer to point of aim at 25 meters.

There may also be another brand of ammo that it likes better and I'll do some research to see what I can find. If anyone has some suggestions please let me know. So I figure I'd line up some pictures; this pistol shoots very well and I am pleased at its performance.

I put 50 rounds out at 25 meters using 9mm American Eagle FMJ 147 grain. Bottom line is I can highly recommend this pistol to anyone interested in an all steel 9mm combat pistol.

Really nice! :D I see they put an ambidextrous safety on it - lefties will like that.

What's the price like? I'm not really looking to replace my black one, but you never know...

I love it! Super nice.
I just bought a CZ75 SP-01 phantom in dual tone. Have to pick it up this week at the shop. Very excited...

Love it. Looks great. I really like the ambi saftey (im a lefty).
Also like the chrome version above.

This safety is nicer than the ambi safety on my Shadow, bit smaller and easier on the thumb; smoother design.

Futz I found the average price to be around 945.00 but you can find them higher and lower on the web.

I just got one of those myself. I found mine shooting high as well with both 115 and 124 gr ammo. I was going to try some 147 to see if there was any improvement, but it seems not from your experience, lol! I might just go with a slightly higher front sight.

The gun:

The results of the first range session:

The first 20 rounds at 7m. You can see how I was hitting high on the top target...

20m(don't mind those two fliers!;))

I definitely like this gun and would also recommend it!

Nice job on those targets, without a doubt this pistol shoots well. Looks to me that it shoots point of aim at 15 metres. Since its primarily a defensive firearm perhaps this was CZ's intention as most combat situations with a handgun are generally going to be 15 metres or closer. Id be interested in seeing how you find the 147 grain. Are you aiming at the 6 o'clock position on your targets?

I know you can get a higher fibre optic front sight which would dial in your point of aim at longer distance. Can you get a higher Trijicon front sight to match the sights on this pistol?

I guess on the flip side, when I used to shoot bulls-eye the six o'clock position on your round target was where we used to sight in our target pistols for; perhaps this is how they set it up. Next range day I'll grab some circle 25 metre targets and see how I do. Interesting that our pistols do seem to shoot about 4 inches on the high side.

Enjoyed your video, I also find this pistol very easy to shoot rapid fire due to CZ's proven design. Thanks for the info.

After the first mag I started to adjust my aim lower to get the rounds in the center of the target. The farther away I was shooting, the lower I had to aim.

I don't know about the Trijicons, but I like fiber optic sights and will probably go that route myself. I'm going to try going down to 91gr rounds to see if there's any change in POI. After that I might try some 147s...

I just received my CZ 75B in matte stainless.:D I gotta say it feels more well balanced than the CZ Shadow due to it not being nose heavy. Still haven't shot it yet though.

Very nice; let us know how she shoots and what you discover your point of aim to be. I'm betting it will be a tack driver. I'll be interested to see if you get point of aim at 15 metre's or not.

I also found the balance a bit better over my Shadow (Still love the Shadow) but you do feel the difference.

Just changed out my hammer main spring for a 13 lb spring, results were very good with a lighter double and single action trigger pull.

The stainless looks awesome! I must admit, even though I have trained to the "clamshell", or "overhand" grip on the slide, and thus now find CZs to be hard grasp the tiny slide... I do miss my old CZ that I bought from Lever Arms back in the early 1990s!

She was my first...
