cz858 handguard wobble

Im just curious, is it normal for the upper front handguard on a cz858 to wobble around. The previous owner installed a plastic handguard set (not sure of brand it is plain black no rails or anything), and i notice the upper can be rocked back and forth a bit.

I also got a fab handguard set with the rifle, so i was thinking to switch it out with the current one so i could mount a red dot and magpul afg to it, but want to fix this wobble before mounting a red dot.

Any advise would be great. Also if anyone has instructions on how to change the handguard i would appreciate it (i know how to get the parts off the rifle but not how to separate the metal and plastic parts of the guard.

Take a pair of pliers and gently bend the tabs at the front that go in the gas block. Just a bit and that should help with the wobble. That seemed to fix mine.

Also another question. I bought a hybrid brake and when i put it on to have it completely threaded the notch goes past the retaining pin. but if i turn it back so they line up (about half a turn) there is some play in the brake.
Should i just notch it where the pin is when its fully threaded?

naw throw some locktite on it like i did and it will be solid, they are all made like that

I used Teflon pipe thread wrap on my muzzle. It tightened it up nice.

Make sure that the retainer clip is still on the upper handgaurd. Also for the muzzle deviece look for yellow telfon tape that is ment for gas. Works great and allows you to remove the muzzle deviece to clean the crown. Plus is you just don't want to deal with indexing issues that leave you wobbley check out dlask's new muzzle deviece's. They really did there home work on these new 1's. Although if you are wanting a muzzle brake/loudener then you will always get the wobble.
