WEll guys lets be honest we are comparing to rifles that shoot the same caliber but they are apples and oranges to compare beyond that. One is a new rifle and the other is old surplus. I have owned many SKS's including "D" models. I liek the SKS for good reliability and rock bottom price. I love the CV 858 for the looks and ho it feels and shoots right out of the box. The ability the screw in a muzzle break with no mods is a major bonus versus the pin on or blt on crapps NC STAR stuff for the SKS. I love the bayo on the CZ, the SKS is useless but looks nice. Yes I sharpened the CZ bayo and use it. CZ comes with 4 detachable mags and mag pouch, SKS is fixed in place which I personally do not like as much. The aftermarket crap for stocks for the SKS is a let down except for the new wood that just came out but are pricey comapred to teh guns original cost. The CZ can be restocked with wood or synthetic and even be made up to look like a Dragunov, I love Dimitri's guns, HE IS THE MAN!!!!!! hehehe
Bottom line they are both good guns out of the box, the CZ though if you want to add things on later has far higher quality parts availability then all the plastic tapco and ATI stuff people slap on the SKS and then hate. Just my opinions but I have restocked my SKS's with most everything over the years and nothing really felt that great to me and al of them left the LOP short feeling but I am a big tall guy.
