Look at the link in www.wolverinesupplies.com for the 858, bottom pic has the folder mounted, looks a little unbalanced but its available.

I thought it looked unbalanced too, but I said F#@k it and ordered it along with the Rifle anyway. To bad they didn't have a nice underfolder like an AK.

Did I say it was an AK? Anyone with even a slight bit of firearms knowledge and a picture or each can tell that. All I said was it's too bad they don't have an underfolder, which to me, would look and function better than a sidefolder.....espeshally for lefties like me.

I saw one of those early this spring (dealer sample I believe). The rifle was correct. However it makes me remember one thing about that particular rifle: make sure that the flash hider you re installing is of the correct diameter. :lol: :lol: Man that big puff of smoke and flying FH was surprising. :lol: :lol: Hey where did it go? :lol: :lol:

Claven, the VZ58 was modeled after the AK-47 but is as you say they are TOTALLY different internally. AK-47 is hammer fired and the VZ58 is striker fired. VZ58 has a faster cyclic rate than does the AK-47.

I have heard through a reliable info source that these rifles many end up going prohib as they might be ending up getting reclassed next year! :roll:

History of the Samopal Vzor 58. Modeled after the AK47 that was being forced on the Czechs when Russia took them over in 1948, the Czechs took the design concepts. It is NOT a direct copy of the AK-47, obviously. CZ/VZ58 was ment for infantry and light armored vehicle destruction. ( so it is modeled after the AK in that it has simular features, same M43 round 7.62x39mm and is rugged by design...etc ) thats it.
I have seen this history of the rifle in several gun books ( world arms) authour not sure of..

Let me rephrase the quote, I heard this througth the grape vine ( city cops) that it is possible that it MIGHT go prohib because of a few "so called reasons". I hope not!!! I hope it is a bogus call!! If you doubt that the RCMP will reclass stuff just see what they did to the G22. "oops I made a mistake" NO ALARM YET!
