I see alot of 858/58 owners have the FAB polymer grip/rail setup - but I also see alot of used ones for sale on EE.
Are they relatively sturdy? I plan on attaching a grip/bipod to it, and am tired of waiting for the NEA upper/lower combo....

Any FAB polymer system owners care to comment on it?
Durable? Good as a heat sink? Or wait for am aluminum rig?

Mine was rock solid with no play at all. The red dot i had mounted did not loose zero after i removed the upper for cleaning. For the price they are a good buy, but if you are going to put hundreds of rounds through it and really heat it up you might want something aluminum.

Fab has done really well for me! Got mine off Zahal:

I have both. I have the FAB setup and I also have the NEA uppers too. I have never had a problem with retaining zero on the FAB, but I do like the NEA for co-witnessing low red dot optics. The FAB is much better for rail attachments for flashlights and so on as NEA soaks you ridiculous money for each little section of rail as they don't get included with their product. If co-witness is not a big deal, the FAB is the way to go. If you want to co-witness, then nothing wrong with NEA.

fab here with red dot on top and grip/bipod combo on the bottom. zero issues for me

Did you get the FAB T-Pod G2 from Zahal?
Their specs for the TPod G2 dont match FABs site so I am suspicious.
Gonna order the Polymer rail unit though thanks for everyones input.
Once I have the grip, T-Pod, and optics installed I will post pics of my new VZ58.
Super happy with it so far.

FAB T-Pod G1 used from the EE here. have a G2 on the way from Z......enjoy

Id say Fab. I have one and all you need to do is screw the side rails tight so they push against the upper guard. Pretty sturdy. The NEA top guard would be more solid but impossible to find right now.
