CZ858 w.Chrome Lined Barrel

I cant really answer any of your questions but dont be scared of a barrel that is not chromed all you have to do it oil it and it wont rust if you shoot corrosive

I am not sure if I am really scared of the the corrosive ammo, but I would really want a shooter 858, because I have close to 10,000 rounds of 7.62 that I need to shoot and I'd rather do it thru a chrome lined barrel and keep my other 858 minty. I think it's more a mental thing than anything; and then I can rest easy.:)

the chrome lined cz's that are non restricted are pretty rare i think there was only a small batch of them at marstar a few years back and with all these fsn's and whatnot coming in i dont think they will be around other than the EE and i dont know that ive ever seen one on there. why not just get the restricted?

Its not chrome, its totally different process but yes will make a corrosion proof cz but its not a reason to not clean your gun:)

The best part of this is that the entire gun is protected with their treatment instead of just the bore. It is the way to go. I have to get my gun to them!

Names that were used for Non-Restricted Chromed Lined Barrels were;
CZH 2003 or VZ 58L
The difference between these 2 & the CZ 858 reciever are shown below;

Other than this minor difference in the receiver and the fact of a chromed lined barrel there is no difference.
As for the Rauch re-finishing process it does not make your rifle rust proof but does add some resistance to it. Also there is Murdoc's Arma-Coating job that is a ceramic style 2 part epoxy paint that also provides rust resistance and also increases cool down rate because of the ceramic feature. Although both firearms will rust out on you if you never clean the inside, shoot corrosive ammo and live in high humidity area's such as the "Wet Coast". This issue will also be the same if you have a chrome lined barrel.
This is just some of my personal use perspective & I hope it helps you out.

I have seen your rifle on the ther thread and it looks really good. But as far as I know Mordock doesn't touch he barrel.

Yes, ones at Epps are all restricted.

Marstar had VZ58L, but I 've seen them on EE very, very rarely.

Rauch Tactical treatment might be way to go.

Your right it only applies to the out side coating of the rifle.
Although even with the Rauch treatment on the inside I have even seen I guy who thought that since he payed for this treatment it was rust proof. We went shooting and he didn't clean his rifle for over a month after our 2 week trip. Then he went to go look at his rifle and there was rust on everything. Although minnor, it would have been major if he never payed to have this treatment done. Actually I still think it would have been a write off if he never did this treatment. Now everytime he shoots the corrosive he slap's some wipeout down the barrel and snakes it twice and calls it a day.

And you got that impression where???

You are joking or being sarcastic right?... I just read something or other about the Rauch barrel treatment.. And my 1st thought was rust protection... and 2nd thought was cleaning..... Crap ... sorry, wrong thread I guess... No harm intended.
