CZ91 SCORPION Review

So I wonder what would it take to have one of CZ's importers bring in another batch of these units. Been looking for awhile and they are few and far. I think they could offer an interesting niche under the BRS series and other overpriced stamped metal pistol calibre carbines.
Unlikely. These and a few other guns are caught in a weird area of law, given the prohib list.

I had imagined it was something like that, but as an importer hopefully you guys come across something that fills the market sometime. Judging by how quickly these and similar firearms move I would think there would be an excellent market for a less than $1K pistol calibre carbine/similar. The Beretta Storm is a great step in the right direction, and a non restricted standard model would be ideal.

Thanks for the input nontheless CanAm.

Just came back from the US, got to handle my favorite SMG at a gunstore. A semi-auto Uzi, Vector made, selling for under $700 brand new. A BRS-99 is pretty similar but costs almost $1300 more. Supply and demand I guess. :(

Well, I've got just about all of my dream guns that a person with an RPAL can legally own in Kanada. I am, however, missing an SMG or machine pistol of some sort. I was in a pawn shop in Great Falls, Montana not too long ago and they had a TEC-9 for 250 bucks. Came with 2 50 round mags and was in really good condition. They also had a semi PPSh-41 (did I spell that right?) complete with drum and 2 sticks for 650. Kahr Thompson M1s for 1200.
Since C-68 importers have made tremendous headway on getting us cool guns we never thought we could own. CZ-858's, AR-180B's, Swiss Arms...etc. I think it's high time for a submachine gun or machine pistol (semi-auto of course) that is inexpensive to produce and can be sold to a working class man/woman for a decent price (less than a K). I'm probably dreaming, but I dreamed of owning an AK one day and they came out with the CZ rifles and now I'm happy. Its not an AK, but close enough for me.

They should try to bring in or make some semi MP40s, PPSH 41s and other SMG clones.

There are a lot of ideas for unique or unusual guns floating around.

There is a commercially produced PPSh clone in the U.S that is cheap down there, but the problem is the U.S government is a bunch of paranoid clowns that won't grant an export permit for it. It would be nice if there were non-U.S companies making these things commercially for civilians.

We've been over that before. They would be classed as converted auto, here.

I have herd that there is a PPSH receiver that is semi only correct me if I am wrong

You are correct. The one I saw was a semi-only commercial reproduction. If I lived in Montana I would have bought it then and there without thinking twice about it. I have no idea who made it. The pawn shop dealer wouldn't let me handle any guns because he knew I am Canadian and he couldn't sell me anything anyway. He just told me it was manufactured semi-auto in the USA with a 16" barrel and totally legal for any citizen of the US to own and shoot gophers with.

I wonder Y the big importers are not bringing in more smg that are not on the prohib list I for one would pay up to 3k for a smg next on my list is the tp9 and then the bd38

It's not so much a problem with our importers, it's the U.S Government. They won't export "assault" style weapons or accessories. Which is why there are a lot of things not on the list up here that they have down there but unavailable here. It would be nice if we had more european sources.

Having said all that, from the way the RCMP has been treating recent imports (Norinco T-97), there's no guarantee that anything from anywhere that looks remotely evil will be allowed into the country. Prohibited list or not. They seem to set up their own little dictatorship within the CFC.

Nailed it.
