Czech Aero L-39 Albatros Jet?

These would certainly be the ultimate military surplus purchase.

I just wonder how long it would take to clean all the cosmoline out of a ex-soviet Mig though...... :D
 
Love the L-39, was flying it a lot on FlightSimX. If I ever have the money when I am older... I'd love to purchase one. Or a MiG-21, mach 2.2 baby!

They are legal to import and can be registered as long as all military hardware has been removed (fire control systems, the actual guns, etc).

I am pretty sure the flare system is legal though since I have seen a lot with the dispense controls still installed. Remember, these weren't suppose to be attack planes, but trainer aircraft to teach pilots on.
