Czech ammo Vs Russian

There's a pretty big price discrepancy some places between corrosize Czech and corrosive Russian.

I searched, but couldn't find a reason for the difference.

Is there any difference? Is the Russian dirtier - it seems to be cheaper?

Apologies if this has been covered.
 
Comparison

Last trip to the range I tried about 60 rounds of each through a new CZ858 and they both worked just as well. I was testing out the new gun and mags for function rather than accuracy, but they both were fine.
 
I was wondering about how dirty they were - i.e. am i going to see a noticeable increase in debris after using the Russian instead of the Czech?

$290 for 1400 Russian Vs $200 for 800 Czech at Frontier.
 
The diffrence is the price they pay at the supplier nothing else. When it comes to Warsaw Pact quality of ammo. Russian ammo will be at the top. Polish and Czech are the second.

Is that comfirmed? After all the Russians didn't even produce the best Kalashnikovs in the Warsaw Pact, as per a guy named Mikhail Kalashnikov, so I wouldn't be surprised if at least some of their client states didn't produce better quality military ammo.

That's the sort of info i'm looking for. If your right though - hush - Russian seems to be the cheapest i can find; i don't need the prices going up.
 
The czech stuff is not cleaner...but at least from the batch I bought better manufactured: All weigh the same. My russian ammo differs up to around 8 grain in powder load...that can drive you crazy while trying to sight a scope in.
 
I compared the two rounds for accuracy in my cz 858. I was shooting 10 round groups, the Chec surplus was about 4 moa and the russian stuff was slightly smaller. They were also hitting at the same point of aim.

From what I can tell in shooting a couple hundred rounds the russian stuff is as good as the chec and maybe even slightly better.

As for pricing the russian stuff that I purchased was 199 for 1000 rounds from trade ex with the shipping included. There was not stripper clips.
I have paid 199 shipping included at Canada ammo back a few years and that was 1120 rounds of chec, on stripper clips and delivered in a fancy crate.

wolverine sells czech ammo for $195 for 1120. thats $.174 each .

The ones in wholesale are wrapped in plastic not foil. What's it cost for shipping at wolverine?
Apparently they're regularly 200 at wss, but there's a 20% offsale now.
 
i bought ammo from tradex for my tokarev and at the time he was offering free shipping, i think its worth a look. i find when iorder from certain people who are offfering good deals but are on the other side of canada, shipping charges bring you back to par so you might as well get it locally. i dont know if its true but i heard they dont allow those wooded crates into canada anymore, you get your ammo in a cardboard box. i swear that green wooden crate made me feel like a burly rusky as i walked into the house with it.

Wow! What a price. I paid ~$0.24x for my case at Epps.
I think one of the big differences between the RU and CZ ammo is that the CZ comes on strippers and is in sealed battle packages, where the RU comes loose in boxes and is shipped in spam cans.
Correct me if I'm wrong though.

almost but now some czech ammo comes loose and without stripper clips , if this trend continue the stipper clips will one day be valuable .
 
I just paid something like $200.00 for 1200 rdss on stripper clips at lever,they had about ten skids of the stuff in.
