Has anyone had any problems with the surplus Czech ammo thats on the market right now?I had 1 friend report that about every 5th one was adud?Dave.

weak firing pin. I bet those "duds" will fire with a second hit.
I agree.

When I got my sks-d, I would have lots of "duds".When I looked at the primers, you could see a strike mark, but it wasnt very deep.I tried firing the round again and it worked every time.I found that after I removed the bolt and disassembled it, cleaning everything, firing pin channel, firing pin, etc...I have never had that problem again.Every couple of trips to the range, I clean the firing pin etc again!

I'm working my way through a case of 1959 Czech M43 right now. The bottom of the tin wasn't sealed and 1 in 20 rounds have some minor rust.

Zero failures so far in my 858.

working on case number 2 with 1 round total which did not fire. Had some wierd behaviour from the rounds during "really" cold west coast weather. About 1 in 20 rounds had to be struck twice by the firing pin to go off. Just on one cold day ???

It all goes bang for me, no problem.

However, no one around here has any, anyone know of any retailers in calgary that have it in stock? TSE is out, guy at the counter told me two weeks about a month ago.
Any retailers online that aren't going to ding me for shipping?

Once I used thick chain lub on 22lr.

That thing works like dream in summer, stay on surface forever. However, in Canadian winter.....can't get any ammo off!
