About a month ago I went into the gun store looking to add to my collection and I came across this rifle and I just had to get it. From what I have learned so far about this VZ24is it was made in 1937 in Brno beyond that I haven't found much. Overall its in excellent condition except for the bore which is pretty heavily pitted as to be expected with years of use with corrosive ammo.

Nice! It has some good looking wood on it. Looks to be one of the Russian capture/refurbs by the electro penciled serial on the bolt handle.

Even though the bore is rough it still may shoot well.

Is a refurb (bolt is blue, vz24 bolts were originally 'in the white' unlike k98 bolts which were blued). Nice rifle nevertheless, and I have a similar one in my gun safe.

These rifles met Wehrmacht standards and were accepted into use with and without modification (some were given a stock disk take down, etc).

The crest is not ground which is also a nice feature.

These are some of the finest mauser styled action rifles out there. Enjoy!
