hey guys im wondering what my Czech mauser is worth i dont know the age there are almost no markings on the rifle except Czech brno on the side. the barrel and bolt are matching but the floor plate and trigger guard arent. it has a stock that has never seen battle 0 dents whatsoever a light color wood and has 7.62 stamped on the back BUT it is in fact chambered for 8mm mauser. the barrel looks like its never fired a single round ever.

im at loss here any help is appreciated im looking to sell it but have no idea what its worth is

You might have a Frankenstein made of CZ Mauser and Israeli Mauser stock rework. That's a best guess with info you provided. In that case it's a "mauser sportster " category. 500 in a good day.

Im guessing you found a mauser that someone dropped into an Isreali 7.62 stock.
Is 7.62 stamped on the receiver? Is there a star of David by the serial on the receiver?

Take pictures of any markings you can see and post.

I think i saw a few Czech mausers on the EE for $600-800 over the last couple of years. I remember thinking they were cheap for how nice they looked (vs RC). I'm not very knowledgeable about mausers though. Non matching would probably cut that price in half.

thats the link to pictures i have the front barrel band and bayo lug off im in the process of getting all the cosmoline out of it or whatever gunk they used to store it so they are there just slapped it together to get the pictures

no star. 7.62 stamping is only on the stock

Its a nice shooter!

The crest on the receiver has been removed and looks like an attempt to scrub any military markings.

It was probbaly in a sporter stock and someone threw it in the current one but didnt finish the job as the feont band is missing.

No collector value but a definite shooter!

It's a nice rifle, 450-500 range.
