Well the 7.5" super short prototypes arrived at our dock just a few minutes ago. As promised here are the first pictures of this carbine.
I must say, these things are super slick. They have a great solid feel to them. They balence well and they come up beautifully.
Just to note, these models have a scope mount already installed. The future models will not have this option from the factory in order to keep the costs down for the people who do not want it. It will be available as an accessory in the future however. we are expecting our stocking shipment to be here in about 2 weeks. Until then, get your pre orders into your local dealer and drool over these pictures.

love the rifles but if these are the examples how come they are both shown with 4 mags,but they are being sold with 2 mags,just curious

Maybe it is because these mags are new and the CZ mags were used or surplus.
I guess I was just thinking of the .223 carbine version mags which are brand new and the ones I have. Are the 7.62 mags surplus with the CSA's like the CZs ?
My line of thinking would be that the .223 mags might cost more for them to buy. So why bother offering four mags cutting into profits. If you offer four mags with the 7.62 version and only two with the .223 could you imagine the problems and #### storm that would create?
maybe so CSA can gouge us more.

Honestly, I don't know if there are new production 7.62 mags. I've received used, new old stock, and refinished used mags with my various VZ rifles.
I have always promoted this rifle, considering it a volksgewehr, but I am secretly saddened that the price doubled over the years. I would love everybody to have one, and that implies affordability. I know 58s can be had in Europe for $150 US, so less magazines, if that ends up being the case, along with the ticket price, is a bit of an irritant.
The CSA product is more expensive than the CZ, but compairing the two side by side the difference is clear. The CSA in our opinion is the nicer of the two and some people are willing to spend the extra money to get that.
The CSA's come with two magazine's from the factory. Thats how we purchase them. Extra magazine's are readily available and reasonably priced.
As for pricing, the MSRP on these are $100 less than they were 6 months ago. We feel thats a pretty good start in making CSA as competitive as we possibly can.
Please also note that CSA is a very small company. Everytime they have to re-tool and re-engineer designs to give us new products (i.e the super shorts) it costs them.
We think it's a great product line. And it's only going to get better with the arrival of the super short's and the non-restricted's.

Good question, i too would like to know if it is black like my CSA carbine or the basic parked/greyed that the CZ rifles come in?
