I wonder If I could buy a couple cases when I am in prague in a few weeks, and mail them to myself. Aren't you allowed to bring 5000 rounds of ammo into canada with you?

How would you get it home though? Would they let you take 5000 rounds on the plane?

they wont sell to just anyone you need to have licence just like here....and when you mail stuff you usually have to package it in front of a customs person or at the post office.
It is possible to order from BVS from abroad but you have to provide them with the paperwork that they request.... cheers

Bring me back a 59 please.

The cost of freight, paper work hassles, and the fact one has to have a rather large amount of cash up front can be a problem for most.

But it is possible.

Dear international customers,

Although it is a pleasure for us to serve you, we would like to explain you what limitation in our business subject is:

1. FIREARMS, "SIGNIFICANT PARTS" OF FIREARM AND AMMUNITION

Licensed Dealers:
Every export is subject to issue of the Export License from Czech Ministry of Trade. For our application for Export License we will need following documents in originals:
* Purchase Order
* End User Certificate
* International Import Certificate

Process of issue for Export License will take minimum two weeks for civilian goods and eight weeks for military material.
We can only accept such orders if they are worth approximately 1.000,- USD or more.

humm... A friend of mine spent 3 years at the Cdn Embassy in Prague, I will give him a call ;)

For your info; When exporting from CZ you must pay the govrnment a percentage of the sales contract in order to get the export lic.

And for those who would like to import ammo by plane, forget it, unless you wish to spend a small fortune on IATA approved packing.... And then $$/per kilo to ship it.

Oh yes once here don't forget to have your explosive import lic up to date, your explosive storage lic will need to be current, within 30 days of your importation don't forget to file your import report or else they get upset in Ottawa.

TWYEH; So you think we are ripping you off ?? Would you mind explaining that in more detail ??
Most folks on here seem to understand we are running a business not a charity fund....
If you think you can do it for less I will sell you any material you wish to purchase FOB my facilities overseas and leave the rest to you.... Deal ??

FOR THOSE of you looking for full autos; If you have the paper we have the guns....

Regards
John
