Czech VZ24 hunting

Hey all

I stumbled on this site and found a story of a father and son hunt in Australia. They were hunting Camels, which are an invasive species in Australia and roaming wild. Thought it was interesting. The son used a combination of 243 (head shots) and a Czech VZ24 unmodified. Father was using a 7 x 57 and .264 WM. Father said the 7x57 worked quite well, deep penetrating. 8mm did good service, hitting hard.

I love hunting with my milsurps, and I know there's quite a few on here who do as well.

Hunting camels?! That is a really cool photo. I was considering using a swedish mauser for hunting coyotes, problem is finding ammo locally. :/

8mm is definitely an adequate round for hunting if that's what your asking. Also very cool pic and info.

I wasn't asking. Just came across the article and thought it was a good story because the son was using an iron sight Mauser

Lol, wasn't me. I found the article online and posted the pic. I believe the author said the shots with the VZ were under 150 metres.
