Interested in a CZH 2003. I heard of the limted run of chrome lined non-restricted barreled versions. Good buy? How do they compare to the CZ858?
Thanks
Thanks
Considering that the cz858s are actually converted automatics and we have a new government...
The CZH2003 where not included in the original ban - why? - because they were actually made from spare left over receivers (aka non-finished rifles) versus from completed select fire rifles. Hence when the conversion was made and the CZH2003's were assembled they were actually a NEW semi-auto rifle versus a converted rifle.
The neat thing about that - is that original SHE receiver markings were not obliterated like on banned versions (large box) VZ858s - because the Czechs were not trying to hide anything yet.
So from initial inspection they look like a military versus military/commercial rifle as they have military versus commercial markings (except for the laser etched name of the rifle on the side).
I think they are awesome!!!
Restricted = $500-750
Non-Restricted = $500-1200 ($1200 is what a commercially made CSA is costing)

Got one in the mail today. I must say I like I better than my CSAs I've had. Now to put it through its paces... Oddly, every time I purchase a rifle from Quebec it's never as advertisedI think I'm done with that Provence.
Got my share of :
-dirty
-banged/dinged
-poorly packed
-not as advertised
From all across the country...
Just sayin'
How does 2003 receiver look inside?
