With magazines you can hold more but I've heard rumors of feeding problems. Tube would be nice but only packing 2 rounds safely seems minimal.

Decided to get one but can't decide which. Opinions?
 
They both do look pretty sweet. Must kick like mules. Leaning towards tube fed but only 2 shots in the tube? I'm really hoping that some more owners will chime in. So far in votes it's Mag 1, Tube 0.

I own both in 8", 12" I prefer the mag fed for the capacity and the ammount of work you may or may not have to do is small can be done in under 20 minutes.
The recoil is fine its the noise that will get you.
 
I prefer the mag fed. For me that is the whole point, being able to have the equivalent of an 18 inch barrel's length of tube fed ammo (5-6 rds) in a compact package with 8-12 inch barrel. Being able to have spare loaded mags and switch between buck, slug and birdshot quickly is merely an added bonus. If I am reduced to only 2 or 3 rounds of a tube fed 8 inch, I might as well get the DA Outlaw double, for an even lighter more compact package.

I have had no feeding issues with a 12 inch mag fed and some issues with an 8 inch, more attributable to technique I think...you can't baby them when working the action.....I'm still learning/experimenting.

I have not found recoil to be a problem.

I want one of these and I considered the mag fed, I read some bad reviews about them cycling bad and ####ty quality, and here is what makes me lean towards the tube mag.. You can just keep loading shells into the bottom of it constantly, shoot one when you need it and right away put one back in, or dump the one in the chamber and the tube and not have to remove anything to reload it. It only holds 2, but it's not hard to reload. Not saying the mag fed one is either.

All depends on your preference/what your using it for I guess!
 
Yo ! I have both a mag and non mag 8,5s all so a12 mag fed just love them all! The mag Fed's are a little harder to cycle because of the up ward pressure of the box mag spring. It's just the nature of the beast! The more you shoot the more they will where in and smooth out! The box mags are only good for 2 3/4 shells but you can Port load a3 inch if needed! Oh and did I mentioned the these guns are funnnnnn!The muzzle blast WOW!! And the REPORT just AWSOME!!! Every one that's shot one of mine just loves them! I use reduced loads most of the time but never was bothered by standard shells. SSG's are are just nasty!To end this I would say to you for the price you can't really go wrong their a blast!
 
I finally pulled the trigger and bought a 8.5" mag fed and a 12" tube fed. Also picked up a backpacker. For the price it looks like a lot of fun.

I have plans to build them up with tactical gear. Pictures to follow.
 
Reloading a mag gun is slower than a tube gun. Plus you have the expense and trouble of carrying extra mags, and mags sometimes go wrong.

If you are really worried about capacity, get a 12.5" that holds 4 shells +1. I can envision no reasonable scenario that requires five fast shots without the seconds it takes to shove a few more shells into the tube.
