I see Canada Ammo has stocks of both.

I have used D4198 and know it can be finnicky for semi autos.

How are either 4064 or 4895 for generic 223 with 55gr, does anyone have any experience with them?
Is there any advantage to either?

Both powders should work well. 4064 is a little slower than 4895 and probably works better with the heavier bullets. 4895 is my accuracy load for loads using the 75gr Hornady HPBT bullets. Hodgdon lists both powders for bullets 55gr and up. The Dominion powders are very close to the Hodgdon and IMR powders for load data, just start with minimum loads and work up.

Looking for ideas.
The problem being it is great price and being Canada Ammo,
now you see it, now you don't.

Can't necessarily depend on any particular one being around all the time.

If you want to load plinking rounds with cheap 55gr bullets, a great powder is H335. It meters well since it's a ball powder and is quite accurate. Too bad the surplus ball powders have all dried up. WC835 and WC845 used to be really cheap and work as well as H335.

So far the D4064 has been the best I've tried. Accurate, burns clean, very good SD. Haven't played with the D4895 as much, but find it a bit dirty, not as accurate.
