Does it cycle reliably? Also, how many shells does the tube hold? I'm really thinking about buying one of these before CanAm sells out of them. Then I'll have 2 handguns and 2 shotguns, lol.

if anything its like the other chinese 1887 needs alot of clean up to work right also none of them will cycle by fliping them like in T2 also the forward handgaurd likes to slide off

..different production runs mean everything with firearms, especially Chinese made firearms.

I'm hoping they'll be quality guns, like every single one of my other Norinco products.

I went on youtube and checked out the norinco 1887 version and I decided to just order the gun. It looks so cool and will be a great addition to my small collection. :D

Heres a review of the Chiappa version. I hope the quality of this one is not worse than the Chiappa: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3a6wjjVN3k

the chiappa 1887 is better built atleast the full length version is then the norinco/chinese full length version i can see he is using the winchester bulk stuff it has almunium bases and expand way too much also the gun dose not have much leverage with the stock gone this could be a problem with any of them

they all need a good break in or clean up by the looks of things

It might need a little working in to make sure the shells eject reliably, especially if this is going to be used as a home defense weapon. I saw some youtube videos on the norinco 1887 and people had some ejecting issues. Though the Grizzly mags had some feeding issues that were resolved with a little sanding down.

it will likely need work, the ones lever arms has need work. you really have to use the lever like you hate it. but when it works its damn fun. I am making a whole video series on the 1887, with review, disassembly, problems, fixes, etc
here is one range vid:

Here is mine, just got it today. Action isn't as stiff as I had thought, seems fine. I still need to shoot it to see if mine has any ejector problems. Very nice looking gun. The pictures were taken next to my ranch hand for size comparison. They seem to be about the same weight so about 4-5 pounds. I need to source a full stock though.
