DA Backpacker shotgun in 410?

Is it possible to get these? I think they would be a great seller. I would buy 2 for sure.
Same size as the original 12ga, but in 410?

I am pretty sure i remember CanAm saying that the factory in China was no longer going to be making the single shot shotguns due to the price it cost to make them (vs. what people will pay). If i am wrong i apologize.
 
A simple chamber adapter would do it.
I think most people like .410's because they are light good handling guns ..... the Backpacker is a pig for it's size.
 
I got one of the 16 ga shotties from CAN AM for $99.00 and cut it down. Frugal and functional.The 16 ga ammo is a bit spotty to find but it can be had.
 
The laws surrounding sawed-off shotguns are clear: shorten the barrel of a shotgun (or rifle) “by sawing, cutting or any other alteration,” to be less than 457 millimetres (18 inches), and you have committed a crime punishable by anything up to five years in a federal prison. Yeah, but what you forget is that the internet commandos are always watching and ready to take someone down with little to no actual information. Unlike the rest of us who read it and assumed he cut it to legal length.

To the OP, just use a chamber adapter. I have several and they turn one shotgun into a very versatile backpacking gun.
 
Am i missing something here. Don't most SS break action shotguns break down into 3 pieces? Why couldn't someone have a decent one, broken down...and then simply reassemble in a emergency situation. A buddy of mine has a small 410 single, it is useless because of the cylinder bore outside 30 ft. A old Cooey or Winchester with full choke, cheaper and more functional.

My guess is he is a cop and you ruined his day as he now has to do paperwork to report you :)


But seriously guys your on CanAm sub forum they actually pay for this service, at least don't name other site sponsors on their page.
