DA Grizzly Shotgun Barrels on 870's?

Has anyone tried using the 12.5 barrel from a Dominion Arms Grizzly Shotgun on a Remington 870? Can this be done with no issues? From what I gather the parts are interchangeable but I was thinking there might be some slight possible incompatibility.

NO, it can't be done :)

I have not had any issues. But some people have found them to be a tight fit.

Canam, do you plan on having more of these barrel soon, I just bought a rem 870 and would like one of these barrels with the threaded choke for sure.

I must be blind I was sure I saw it out of stock an hour ago!!

EDIT: I'm not crazy, it just came back in stock, I just received an email from canam about it!

I've only tried 3 or 4 and they all fit but were slightly out of index.
I'm surprised Badboy has not run across this issue after dealing with 100's as everyone I tried was the same.....

What would be the effect of being out of index? different POA and POI?

It's mostly just annoying to see the bead leaning off to one side.....here's a picture of a chinese barrel on a shotgun I bought from badboy a few years ago.
No one else seems to notice this issue as every time someone asks I'm usually the only one to point it out.
It will work but it's not an exact fit in my experience and I also did have some remington receivers that were to tight so sometimes depending on the vintage of the remington it might not even fit.

The above is a 14" and I must say I haven't bothered to try a 12.5 as I long ago decided to just use the Chinese barrels on Chinese receivers which work fine.

the only out of index ive had is the front site bead and that an easy fix as id beinging Wilson combat iron sight or xs fat dot, but ive used the can ammo bbls mostly for our CQB stock system builds, no front sight is needed.
ive had a few were the cut for the ejector was not perfect but that also can be fixed.
again on the ejector ive been taking the old 2 3/4 winmasters and putting in 3" police ejectors, so any minor tuneing that's needed can be done at that time.

That's what I figured you were doing and if you run a full length rail or some other front sight you will either not notice it or you can correct it somewhat.
The thing is if you look at the picture I posted it's not only the bead it's the whole lug that is not sitting vertical and the barrel is twisted off center of the mag tube. I lined up the slots in the mag nut to help emphasize the index issue and although it's a bit dark in the picture you can see that the lug is lined up with the bead and the whole thing is twisted....
The fact is they don't line up the same in the receiver and that is probably why you had the ejector issue.
The same barrels on the chinese receivers are perfect.
I had no idea Remington made special police ejectors.....I thought all they made were 3 inch now.

Works awesome!!! Did mine with a Mesa Tactical law enforcement low receiver mount so I could use the bead sight. Commercial AR tube and stock with rubber butt pad. I also went with an AR grip, speed feed forend and a Tac-Star 6 shot side saddle to make my perfect shottie! Now maybe a sling mount plate for the single point sling and I'm calling it done!

Damn, that's a sweet firearm! You may have inspired me to do something like this. I'd feel kind of weird taking something like this to the range. Although I haven't even gone to the range yet..hahaha

What are the choke tubes used in this barrel, regular rem chokes or proprietary chokes from norinco/DA? I would like to purchase a remington 870 tactical choke (breacher type), but I want to be sure before ordering one that it will fit perfectly.
