They will handle any shell up to the length indicated on the chamber. Up to 3” are good to go.

And if you end up with a backpacker.. Buy some 3" federal 1.25oz slugs, see if you can get through all 5... They are a little violent in such a small gun... Lol but fun

Got my 12g synthetic backpacker, for a $150 and I’m impressed, the stock and fore end are rock solid. The fit and finish appear to be good. The hammer spring seems pretty stiff to lock back, but not a big deal. The locking mechanism at times requires more force than I’d like, but that could improve with time, or maybe minor modification.

But well worth the price! Now I just gotta shoot it!

Got my .410 backpacker2 today. My hammer is pretty stiff too. It's not a bad looking gun. The checkering and ribbed barrel look good along with the color of the wood itself. Im quite pleased with the latest impulsive buy, Thanks CanAm
