DA50 in 50BMG, ACCESSORY LINKS.

I search for a bipod that fit this the Picatinny Rail, it' s not MIL-STD-1913 just for your information.

I'm going to go with the MPOD from Mystic Precision, and IIRC the fix to the rail is milling off just a tiny bit of material? Need someone in the know to confirm...

You could also shoot off sandbags until you get the bipod sorted out...

Cheers

So what are people using for glass. I have access to a 1000 meter range. I'm looking to start at 400 and work my way out to 1000m. I'm not sure what can take the recoil. The budget is 1500.

I'm using a Vortex Viper 6-24 50 that's working well for me so far.

Mine arrived!

Minor cosmetic damage, but I'm happy!

Easy installation of the Luth-AR stock, looks great!

For the record here is the "wiggle" on my 50, I sent this video to canada Ammo and Chris's reply was this:

Yes, that is normal

It is because there is no sear or striker spring holding the bolt in place as those are in the lower

Chris

Mine has the same wiggle.

If you take a Remington 700, and remove the firing pin assembly so that there is no spring tension, the bolt will wiggle when closed. There will also be slight fore and aft movement because there will be clearance between the bolt nose and the barrel breech. The bolt does not jam against the barrel when closed.
If the stripped bolt (no ejector) were to be closed on a cartridge or GO gauge, there should only be the very slightest - almost imperceptible - fore and aft movement.

When you put a live round in, there is no wiggle. Or if there is, it's barely noticeable. I noticed the wiggle when I first got my rifle, so instead of making videos or using snap caps or dummy rounds I went to the range and tried it with live ammo. :)

250 or so rounds later the rifle is still in one piece.

For the record I only made the video to reassure guys that its normal, as soon as my ammo arrives I'm heading out to the range :)
