Norinco sells guns to actual militaries.

In the Philipinnes and in Taiwan I saw cops and soldiers walking around with guns no one at my range would be caught shooting if you paid then too.
For example a lot of security guards and cops are carrying a pistol grip only Mossberg 500 clone. And they are loaded with 3inch slugs.
Imagine a 150 lbs soaking wet Taiwanese man shooting a pistol only 3" slug gun. I think these guys don't get to practice with their guns much, if at all.

Virtually every business has a security guard with either a pistol, pgo slug gun, or AR/M16. Yet in the entire city of Cebu there is only one gun range and during my two visits there I was the only customer. So my guess is that those security guards and cops with guns are just for show.

If these are the guys armed by Norinco, that really doesn't say much.

Mind you, I love my Norinco Grizzly mag with 12" barrel. Looks mean as hell. And it was only 300$. But it does jam a great deal. You get what you pay for..That is my zombie gun, the gun I pull our to show off to dinner guests. But when the zombies actually do come out, I'll be switching to the Mossy 590 in a hearth beat.

If you want to mount a scope, there are mounts for fixed carry handles.

If you look at the third photo on CanAm's site, you'll notice the DA556 has a hole in the carry handle to allow scope mounting hardware.

You are the second person to tell me this.

Basically I can shot 9mm, .22lr, and .40cal with my Sig pistol. But I have to put back the .22lr kit on the gun before transporting or storing it. And not doing so is punishable by up to 2 years in jail on first conviction. Yet this does absolutely nothing to protect anyone from anything and there are absolutely no victims resulting from it.

This is a ridiculous retarded law. And it deserves to be ignored.
Whoever came up with it needs to be used as target practice.

Are you saying that putting the .22lr barrel on your pistol changes the classification?

Ir's not just the barrel that gets switched. It's also the slide, the recoil spring, and the magazine. The Sig Sauer P226 can be fitted this way with 3 different calibers - .22lr, 9mm Luger, and .40cal. I have all 3 calibers for my P226. It takes about 10 seconds to switch caliber.
Switching caliber doesn't change the qualification. It's still a restricted firearm no matter which caliber it uses. And the serial number is on the receiver, not on the interchangeable parts..

Now, my registration does list the gun as a .22 as that is how I bought it. The other caliber kits were purchased separately. No paper work required.

But it changes the paperwork I guess. And government is all about paperwork. So I have been told by two different people that I can switch caliber all I want but I must transport and store the gun only in it's original.22 caliber state.
The penalty for such a ridiculous victimless crime is up to two years of jail time.

Stupid gun control laws!

You could always use an adapter with a rail that fits onto the top of the carry handle

The detachable carry handle is much better since you can mount whatever you like whIle keeping the rifle a smaller profile. I'd rather not have a red dot sitting on top of the carry handle.

I agree. I would rather not stack up equipment in that manner.
