DA556 front sight removel

does anyonehave a video of how to remove the front sight on the DA556 I want to take the hand guard off and switch it out, couldnt find any anywhere on how to do it

Just type in ar15 front hand guard removal. You don't really need the tool

Or a dremel and cut the front sight off, then use a clamp-on style. Armalite (carried by Wolverine) has the clamp-on A2 style - which aside from the lack of bayo lug - looks exactly like a regular forged A2.


The problem is the Chinese made AR clones usually have such a heavily attached taper pin set, that it's very difficult to remove them. I've seen some that are mushroomed on both ends, making it impossible to get off without grinding them flush first.

They come out the same side as an ejected round. With brute force, I got mine out. The first time was tough, now it's a non-issue.
