DA556 gas pad diameter??

I have searched everywhere and I can't find the gas pad diameter for the DA556 because I want to remove the front side gas block and installed a low profile one so mind as well ask here so if somebody searches this can find it. I need to know if it either .750 or .625 barrel thank you!

I didn't want to take the gas block out just to measure and order the new one waiting to arrive without a working rifle.

If I measure the barrel just in front of the gas block would that be enough to determine the diameter of the gas pad?? I was just worried I measure let's say .75" in front of the block and the actual gas pad area is thinner. That's all

Yes you can measure in front and it will be the same under. Gas blocks for AR15 come only come in 3 sizes. .625 and if your barrel looks like a pencil then its .625, .750 is the common and .920 BULL barrel.

If it skinnier under then I would be worried because I would wonder how something can be .125 thous difference and seal.

Thank you so much for clarifying this for me! Mine is the 14.5" C8 clone and after you mentioned the pencil barrel this does not have the M4 profiled barrel but the pencil barrel. I knew I could count with some CGN pros! Thanks again!
 
Before you spend any money on parts, I would recommend removing the current gas block. I have herd many stories of people not being able to get it off.
