well I never thought id buy a AR(just sent the paper to get upgraded from PAL to RPAL) but this gun appeals to me maybe its the lack of rails is there anything good to say about them

I've heard they're pretty decent especially for the price point. There are better options, yeah, but not everyone wants to spend $3000 on a range toy.

Have you checked out the offerings from IRunGuns? They have a number of AR rifles at a slightly higher price-point, but are of much better quality.

im not really looking for anything fancy I don't need any rails or anything to hang a bunch of crap off of I like the stock set(although id much rather have a m16a1 style forearm) besides it is a AR chances are they will all function the same

Lever has the Nork A3 versions....

Depends what you want I guess....these are OK with A1 furniture, but pretty ugly standard.

now those are good looking I have doubts that AR's will ever be able to go out and play again though as two pins and I can change the upper to a shorter barrel

You could also hack off the barrel with a saw. You would be the one breaking the law. If they change the classification, that wouldn't be a determining factor.

If that's true, I'll be ordering one the next day.

lol You and every single other person that owns, ever owned or wanted to own an AR! :D

The "Sold Out" websites will be fast and hard for every single barrel over 18.5" Sir.

There aren't too many 20" barrels these days as it is due to everyone wanting to shoot snub nosed tacticool rifles. It's hard enough already to track down a 20" in this country at the moment.

Imagine if "things change"...

I bought a Norinco DA556 about two months ago (the OMG package less the knife) I've shot perhaps 400 rds through the rifle and I don't have any complaints. I did have one failure to fire (primer struck) so it was an ammo problem not the rifle. Norinco reminds me of a Japanese auto executive comments about someone comparing his company's product with a Mercedes. "We make a car that's 90% as good as a Mercedes but at 80% of the cost" The DA556 isn't a DD or Colt Canada product but then again it's priced at $600, not $3000. I added an Eotech optical sight and I'm a happy camper.
