The DAA SHOTMAXX Timer / Watch is the LATEST in timer technology for the shooting world! Breaking the size record that the CED7000 Timer has held for years, this latest new timer is by far the smallest and lightest timer on the market today, weighing in at 60 grams (2.1 oz.). The new SHOTMAXX eliminates this problem by running a sophisticated shot detection algorithm. This is a far more advanced method of shot detection than ever before used. It analyses the wave form of the sound it hears, decides if it follows a well-recognized form of a shot’s sound pattern and when it concludes that it does along with meeting the threshold required, the shot is recorded. The Shotmaxx has 10 levels of digital sensitivity adjustment built in. The new high tech internal microphone offers more range than ever before!
Additionally, the SHOTMAXX is the FIRST shot timer ever to use Accelerometer sensor technology, along side of the microphone sensory, to detect shots. When the acc (accelerometer / recoil sensor) is activated, the SHOTMAXX looks not only for the sound but also for the recoil as well. The perfect solution when on a line of fire next to several other shooters, and you want to record only your shots fired. The timer looks to match the sound of the shot with the identified recoil – and when the match is made, - a shot is recorded.
SHOTMAXX’s sensors are so sensitive that it can offer outstanding airsoft performance as well. It is able to record the sound of shots fired from airsoft guns indoors from a distance of 2-3m (up to 9 feet) behind the shooter, reliably and consistently. The recoil sensor works as well for airsoft as it does for real guns! Select “airsoft” from the sensitivity settings – and you are set to go! However, care is needed when the SHOTMAXX is set to this high sensitive level, especially when the mic detection is being used, as any bumps, knocks against objects, or other loud sounds may be picked up by the timer.
The SHOTMAXX is truly “user friendly” and perfectly suited for use on the range, for practice, coaching, ROing, or simply having fun! It is designed with a high tech display, which offers excellent contrast and visibility even in direct sunlight. It includes a handy backlight to illuminate the display when used in low light conditions. Its rechargeable battery will power the watch when used in watch mode for about 3 months, and when used intensely as a timer, it had the power enough to offer 24-30 hours of continuous on-range use. The internal rechargeable battery can be fully charged using the supplied Micro USB cable in around 2 hours. Plug it into a PC, or use any suitable USB car or outlet power supply.
SHOTMAXX is the first timer to offer Bluetooth connectivity! This ability will allow the development of new applications to run on smart phones, tablets, or PC’s allowing the user to collect their split times as they are shot, using the timer in a more effective manner for training or match scoring. Right now you have to manually start it to match the official RO timers but I hear DAA is working on a way to listen for another timers start tone as a trigger!
