had the pleasure of being with my dad for his first moose. Taken about 3 miles north of my home town, Rocanville Saskatchewan. bullet pounded the shoulder and was recovered just behind the skin on the back side. barnes ttsx 180 gr 30-06. She didn't move more than a foot before going down. I'm impressed with these TTSX bullets.

Need a pic of the truck! Lol gonna wish I had one come moose hunt in a few weeks (assuming we down one)

Also, I'm assuming you meant Barnes tsx, but berger.

ya the picker truck made it real nice, getting it out of the trees was a bit of a chore, but after that was smooth sailing. and yes, the bullet was a barnes not berger. the funny thing is, that the old man didn't want to walk that bush. "too small of a bush, their wont be a moose in there" he said. it was a small treed area next to a large slough in the middle of the field. as soon as we got in there was a ton of moose tracks paths and beds, along with a big old whitetail buck that we almost tripped over before he jumped out of the cattails and took off. then there she was 150 yards across a little grass clearing between the cattails and the trees. got a picture of a nice rub in there as well. i was more than a little nervous we might trip over a big bull laying in the cattails before we knew he was there. i'll be going back to that exact spot come whitetail season. oh and ya, i wish i would have tucked the tongue in for the picture, but we were pretty excited, and in a bit of a hurry to get her out!
