Dad's old 6.5x55, trip to the range

My deer stand rifle is an M96 target rifle. The gunsmith that owned it before me drilled and tapped it. He also cut, welded and polished the bolt handle to clear the scope. It shoots stupidly accurate with 46 grains of RL22 and 140 grain bullets. Head shots at 300 yards.

Whoa that's pretty.
Dunno about those prvi partizans tho....shot a buck last year at 50 yds and half the round went thru the lungs and half stopped in the heart! Are they brittle or something??
Love the 6.5 x 55 tho. That's what made me buy a 260.
