Dagger SAP6 Jamming Issues - Response From Tactical Imports

Hi Guys,

I've got a mag fed Dagger SAP6 that I purchased 4 years ago from Tactical Imports that is jamming constantly now. The gun is still within their 5 year warranty period but I can't get a response back from them so I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I've only got maybe 100 rounds through it and it used to never jam, not sure what has changed.

It jams most of the time now and doesn't matter if it's 2 3/4" or 3" shells, the only time it loads perfectly is if I hold it upside down. It's like the shells won't sit in the magazine at the right angle to get scooped up into the chamber, they just get wedged in the action.

I've tried two different magazines thinking it may be weak springs, but it's the same with both. Any ideas as to what the problem is or how to fix it?

Edit* Tactical Imports did in fact respond in a very timely manner with a resolution to rectify the situation which was filtered into my junk mail & deleted. My apologies to Tactical Imports.

AirCAV might have some tips. He had one that he modified to run really well. (But he has access to a machine shop)
(Ill shoot him a note)

Thanks JoKa. I wouldn't say I have access to a machine shop but I have a few that I work closely with for my job so I may be able to pull a favor depending on what needs to be done.

Check The magazine feed lips. I had this problem at a 3 gun match during a stage. After the stage I checked the bad mags and compared them to my other mags. I noticed that the lips were bent more in causing the shells to sit lower in the magazine. I believe the mags fell on the feed lips when i dropped them for a reload. Used a pair of pliers and bent them back similar to my other mags. The shells sat higher again and worked fine. After that i made sure to drop my mags so they would not land on the feed lips and checked them after each stage. hope that helps

I checked the magazines out, look perfectly fine to me. Then again I've never dropped them either, one was babied all its life and the other was never even used.

I could definitely see how that would cause problems but it seems mine is something else. I thought maybe there were some known issues with these guns that would have a solution.

Have you checked your junkmail? We investigated this, our armourer said he advised to return the magazines for replacement after initial email

I check my junkmail daily & didn't see it. It's possible I may have missed it, if so I'll edit the thread and apologize. Can you let me know the email address it would have come from so I can check my deleted folder or re-send the email?

I'm not convinced the magazines are the issue though as one was never used and is doing the same thing as the other, but you're the experts. Is there a RMA or # that I should reference when I send them in?

Had one of the originals, never worked right ftom day one.
If you want a mag fed shotgun that is made right and works, go with Italian made Valtro or Brixia PM5.

We did test all the pump mag feds and the PM5 did work the best out of the box with no operational mods.
(Still need a stock mod though, that LOP is silly)

BUT, the SAP6 Can be modified to Run smooth and reliably, I have seen it done. Although I cant personally tell you how.

Interesting, but definitely not reassuring. I may have to do some digging to see what I can find for info on mods, but given that it's under warranty still I'm hopeful that Tactical Imports will take care of whatever it is.

It's weird because it worked fine, then for no apparent reason started jamming all the time, makes no sense.

Was just thinking, maybe these magazine springs just weaken over time even if not in use or stored with shells in them? Anyone ever heard of something like that?

Not only did my 18" barreled SAP6 not feed OR eject properly... but the optic rail (equipped with a Vortex Spitfire) LITERALLY sheered off the receiver/barrel and fell onto the ground before I could finish the case of challenger target loads I bought for it!

The Turks and their infinite wisdom thought it would be sufficient to fasten the optic rail to the gun by a single machine screw threaded into aluminium, and that screw would also be some tiny 4mm'ish front sight bead...... the back of the rail slipped into a poorly machined dove tail, and what originally appeared to be screws threaded into the receiver actually turned out to be just tensioners for the dovetail.

shipped the shotgun back to TI at my cost and got a refund for just the shotgun.

Funny you mention the top rail. I use to have 3 videos of me running this gun on youtube. One of the vids while testing my top rail flew off too lol.

Looks like Tactical Imports is going to take care of me, they did reach out and it was deleted from my junk folder. I've gotta say it looks pretty good on them to honor their warranty after nearly 5 years, hopefully I'll be able to stop thinking about this soon and have a smooth operating SAP6 again.
